Bob Pizzini

Bob Pizzini is a former U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Device (EOD) Special Operations officer, business leader, author, and speaker. He is known for his leadership insights and experiences gained during his military service, as well as his work in the private sector. He has an Amazon bestselling business book: Elevate Your Leadership, as well as a training program of the same name focused on teaching business leaders. He is very civically active in both politics and charitable organizations. Bob also speaks and writes on topics related to risk taking, resilience, teamwork, and leadership.

EPISODE 1: ALAN MACK

Alan Mack retired from the Army as a Master Aviator. He served over 35 years in the Army, first as an aircraft mechanic then as a pilot. He flew CH-47s in support of Operations Desert Shield and Storm. Additionally, he spent 17 years flying MH-47 Chinooks with the 160th SOAR. As a Night Stalker Flight Lead, he participated in Operations Desert Thunder, Desert Fox, Enduring, and Iraqi Freedom.

EPISODE 1: ANDREW COHEN

Andrew Cohen, University Professor and former Wall Street trader was the winner of FMA's 2019 Innovative Teacher of the Year Award; Old Dominion's 2019 Teaching with Technology Award; the University Distinguished Teacher award; was an Entsminger Fellow, and earned the Outstanding Non-Tenure Faculty Award. He is a Trading Room Manager and Finance Lecturer at Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia. He holds an MBA from NYU and had 15 years of Wall Street experience at Goldman Sachs and with Bernard Madoff's investment organization as a Manager, Market Maker and Trader.

EPISODE 3: SEAMUS "FLATS" FLATLEY

Seamus “Flats” Flatley is a retired Navy fighter pilot and U.S. Naval Academy graduate who flew the daunted F-14 Tomcat. He was a squadron Commander providing air to ground support for special operations combat units during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon retiring he joined Blackwater, first as the leader of rescue and recovery operations during Hurricane Katrina and then managing various U.S. Government support contracts. His aviation expertise was tapped again when he was put in charge of research, development, and testing of counterinsurgency light attack candidates for U.S. Government applications. Seamus has been an executive influencer in several cutting-edge companies and is currently the Chief Revenue Officer for MARTAC, a marine autonomous vessel development company.

EPISODE 4: RUBEN GONZALEZ

Olympian Ruben Gonzalez is a common man who achieved extraordinary things. He wasn’t a gifted athlete. In school he was always the last kid picked to play sports. He didn’t take up the sport of luge until he was 21. Four years and a few broken bones later, he was competing in the Calgary Winter Olympics. When he competed at the Vancouver Olympics at the age of 47, Ruben became the first person to ever compete in four Winter Olympics each in a different decade.

EPISODE 5: BRAD MCDONALD

Brad McDonald is a former Commanding Officer of the USS L. MENDEL RIVERS (SSN686), where he successfully led missions involving SEALS and their SEAL Delivery Vehicles (SDV) globally. He is known for his seven principles of leadership, which he shares in his appearances, including on The Elevate Your Leadership podcast. Brad also transitioned into entrepreneurship, a journey he describes as a defining moment. His experiences led him to author “The Art and Skill of Sales Psychology.”

EPISODE 7: JOSE VASQUEZ

Retired Sgr. Major, while assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group (A), Jose deployed numerous times to Central and South America, and twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Combined Joint Task Force-76 from 2004-2005 and Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan from 2018-2019.

EPISODE 8: RICH GARNER

Rich Garner is a Retired Navy SEAL. He served in several units during his twenty-year plus career including SEAL Team Six. After his service he participated as a State Department contractor in protective security operations in Iraq. Rich is a multi-generation cowboy and known through the country as an expert horse trainer. He is the president of the non-profit Hold the Reins, focused on assisting high risk special operations veterans diagnosed with PTSD through equine therapy.

EPISODE 9: PETER GARY

After serving in the Marine Corps for eight years, Peter Gary began a decade-long career in the automotive industry, where he went on to serve as General Manager for several of the country's leading dealerships. During the late 90's, Peter embraced emerging technology, moved to South Florida and helped launch several highly successful businesses. He is the c-founder of the veteran's foundation Warrior's Haven USA.
